Mr. Simon Momoh was born at Ejule in Ofu Local Government Council in Kogi State to the family of Mr. And Mrs. Momoh.in April 15th, 1955. He completed his Primary Education at St Martin’s Primary School Ejule, in 1969. thereafter, he proceeded to St. Peter’s Collage Idah in 1970 where he had his WAEC in 1974 between to March, 1976 he attended Kwara State College of Technology, (S. Bs section) for his GCE “A” level. He obtained his B. Sc political science in 1979 from the University of Ibadan.
Mr. Simon Momoh started his civil service career with legislature in July 1980 when he was seconded to Benue State House of Assembly as clerk at table II. In 1992 he was seconded to the legislature, Kogi State House of Assembly as an assistant Director, Legislative matters.
The Year June, 1999 he was seconded to the Kogi State House of Assembly after the return of civilian administration from military junta in November, 1993 as Deputy Clerk and Director, legislative matters, a position he held before and was elevated to the post of Ag. Clerk of the House of Assembly in August, 2003, and he is presently the Ag. Clerk of the House.
He Mr. Momoh has attended several financial administrative, legislative and other management courses/workshop at (ASCON) Badagry and other training institution in Nigeria and outside Nigeria.
1. Financial management course at ASCON-April, 1988
2. Two weeks General and personnel management course for legislative officers at ASCON – April, 1992.
3. Two weeks training workshop for clerks of table of states. Houses of Assembly and National Assembly, Abuja - May, 1998.
4. Common wealth parliamentary Association workshop for legislative officers of National and state Houses of Assembly at Abuja – May, 1999.
5. Legislative Education workshop in Chicago, the united states of America – December, 2004.
6. Legislative Drafts and procedures in Louisiana State U.S.A – Nov/Dec 2008.
